Efficiency Maine Rebates

Quirk Hyundai and Quirk Auto Group support the mission of Efficiency Maine by providing consumers with many hybrid & electric vehicle choices.

Efficiency Maine offers instant rebates for qualifying battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) at Quirk Hyundai. Nothing to mail, no waiting for reimbursement. All that is required is a valid, permanent Maine Driver’s License.

The rebate is deducted from the price of the vehicle during the purchase process! Efficiency Maine rebates are a State of Maine consumer rebate that is completely separate from Federal Tax-Incentive savings on electric vehicle purchases. Currently, Efficiency Maine offers a $2,000 instant rebate on the Hyundai Ioniq5, Ioniq6, Kona EV and a $1,000 instant rebate on Hyundai Plug-in Hybrids such as as the Hyundai Tucson Plug-In Hybrid and Santa Fe Plug-In Hybrid.

Additional rebates are also available for low-income consumers, government entities, and select Maine non-profits. Contact us for further details.

In addition, low-income consumers may qualify to purchase used electric and plugin-hybrid vehicles, but only from registered Maine Auto Dealers. Private sales are not eligible. Contact us for details.

Do non-plugin hybrids qualify for Efficiency Maine Rebates?

We get asked this question a lot. Non-plugin hybrids such as the Elantra Hybrid, Tucson Hybrid, Sonata Hybrid do provide a more green driving experience to drive in both electric and gas modes creating higher effective miles per gallon. Unfortunately, Efficiency Maine does not offer rebates on non-plugin hybrid vehicles.
